When an elderly couple mentioned to him that they desperately wanted a child, he offered up his daughter for a “two-week trial period,” then disappeared. Neighbors later told police that he said the girl’s mother had died in New Hampshire. In 1986, Rasmussen - using the name Gordon Jenson - was living at Holiday Host RV Park in Scotts Valley with his daughter, 5-year-old Lisa. Police say he was an electrician and worked for oil and gas companies and for the big industrial construction company Brown & Root. Rasmussen has been confirmed to be located in New Hampshire and Preston, Idaho, in the mid-1980s, and then in California locations including Richmond, Felton, Scotts Valley and San Luis Obispo from then until 2002. Beaudin was never heard from again - but Rasmussen surfaced with their daughter in California five years later. They had a child together and were raising her when they and the child, then 6 months old, disappeared in 1981 from their home in Manchester, New Hampshire. The New Hampshire victim, identified as Denise Beaudin, was Rasmussen’s girlfriend at one point.
